Stage 5
Well I am sure Jeff has done alot more on the engine but for now this is all I have . ;)
Engine long block parts on Jeffs floor , Angle flow heads !!!

stage 4
With the engine in Jeff's evil hands all I can really do is collect parts for when it reaches the UK..!
As you can see the dash has been cut for a later stereo not sure what I want to do for that, might add the guages in there.

Choice of steering wheel and shifter, Speedwell and Hurst..

Stage 3
As you can see there is a nice Type 1 gearbox tucked away, shes running a spool and gears more setup for a Turbo. Will be looking to change it to an LSD when money is less tight...

Trans specs are: Jeff Newcomb

Late Model IRS case
Weddle main shaft
Erco Alum spool
Erco Chromoly Pinion nut
Gears all weddle
1st 3.78
2nd 2.36
3rd 1.31
4th 1.04
R/P 388
100mm cluth arm
HD throwout bearing shaft

The frame horns are tied in with the yellow CB rhino mounts so its good for the street still. 28 mm torsion bars, JCL Billet Alum Spring plate and RLR adjustable shocks.

Stage 3

Wheel choice I think make or break the car and although she is a great sleeper at the moment I wanted to use a set of Gas Burners. Picked up a set on the Samba seamed like a good deal till Jeff checked them out on delivery of them, he realised they were a tag damage. Oh well of to Al Reed for polishing which may I add is a top notch job, got some NOS caps also.

The 67 is currently 4 stud Disc up front and 4 stud type 3 drums out back ( bought a set of drilled hubs and drums to convert the rear to 5x130 )

Not sure on tyre choice but I will sell the street slicks shes on now and opt for a full set of treads..

Stage 2

Stage 2
Although she is solid I didn't think she would hold up well so I had the roof and bonnet painted and I will age the paint when it comes over hear.

As you can see not a perfect match but I am sure we can sort that out...

Stage 1 parting with money

Well hear she is my 67 US spec project ( I could have bought it complete but I didn't have the cash at the time ). Bought as a roller that was advertised as ratty but 100% solid. She was running a 2442 Turbo with water cooled heads, going a slightly different route but large type 1 powered she will remain.

So as you can see apart from the bonnet and roof she in her factory Beige paint ( the most underrated colour ) The Harold Helper will be going as they restrict air flow into the engine, bar that I love the stance and even the heavy towel rail bumpers.

I have had her sent to Jeff Denham's work shop to have the future engine tested fitted and mocked up before she takes a trip over to the UK ( and salt roads ). Hes a strange chap highly skilled and thinks way outside the box and also likes cars that don't scream RACE ME!
